At the talk, representatives of Guangxi authorities said the province is keen on developing economic and trade cooperation with Vietnam and considers Vietnam an important venue for its investment projects, particularly in infrastructure construction, and cooperation in technology, finance, border trade, tourism, education, and sports for mutual benefits.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Phuc pledged favorable conditions for foreign investors: “We have been working to build an open and transparent environment for both Vietnamese and foreigners businesses, considering investors’ successes as ours. Our clear direction is to build a facilitating, incorruptible government who acts aggressively and serves the people and businesses. Efforts should be made to fine-tune institutions, speed up administrative reforms to improve competitiveness. Now it takes less than five days, or only one day to get a  permission in Vietnam. We will work to remove difficulties for enterprises, develop businesses, and boost start-ups.

Mr. Phuc said Vietnam has engaged in 12 free trade agreements and is negotiating other 4 deals, enabling Chinese investors to access vast markets. He made clear Vietnam’s refusal of backward technology for environmental protection. He praised Chinese investors’ technological capacity, saying that Vietnam hopes to receive such advanced technologies.
