(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged Quang Ngai province to continue its economic model drive by agriculture and the processing industry.

At a meeting with key provincial leaders on Tuesday, Mr. Phuc underscored the need for Quang Ngai to develop its services in accordance with market rules. He said the province must review the policies and measures being used to achieve its 2016 targets and complete its planning, especially of transportation infrastructure. Prime Minister Phuc said the province should continue to give due attention to social security, caring for policy beneficiaries, supporting local fishermen, and defending sea and island sovereignty.
The same day, Prime Minister Phuc visited the Dung Quat Oil Refinery – a national work of economic, political and security significance. The facility, with a total investment of over 3 billion USD, produces 6.5 million barrels of crude oil per year.
Mr. Phuc praised the success of the Refinery despite fluctuating global oil market, especially from the beginning of this year.
He also visited “container”- houses piloted by the H.E.L.P social joint stock company. The houses will be used by ethnic students in the province’s mountain districts.
