(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged Thai Binh province to boost the application of technology in agriculture and pay attention to environmental protection alongside socio-economic development.

The Prime Minister made the request during his Sunday visit to Thai Binh province's Binh Dinh commune, which is among the first eight communes in the province to achieve all the criteria for new-style rural areas after just three years of implementing the government's new rural development program. He asked the locality to select plants and animals with higher economic values and suitable to the local conditions and market demand. The same day, the Prime Minster visited a cement factory in Kien Xuong district.
