On Tuesday, the second day of the Lunar New Year, workers have restarted working on the Dragon Bridge construction site in the central city of Da Nang. The bridge, which spans the Han River, is expected to be put into operation in 2013.

 

Workers on Tan Thuan port, an affiliate of the Sai Gon port, in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday loaded 3 cargos consisting of 670 containers equivalent to 10,000 tons of goods. Nguyen The Nhuong, a docker, says: “Our team, who worked on the first day of the year, had the leaders of the Sai Gon port come to wish us a Happy New Year yesterday. We wish the Sai Gon port and our unit to flourish this year so we’ll have higher and stable incomes.”

Hoa Phong company has finalized customs clearance to import 256 tons of goods through the Lao Cai International border gate. Tran Vu Hoang, Head of the Lao Cai International border gate Customs Unit elaborates: “Last year was a successful year for import-export activities through Lao Cai border gate. Entering a new year, we have identified our works and arranged our staff to ensure smooth activities.”

Approximately 300 fishing boats anchored at Phu Yen port fetching from 2 to 3 tons of tuna of each boat. This is the second bumper year of tuna for the fishermen in the central province of Phu Yen.
