(VOVworld) - The profile to submit the worship rituals dedicated to Hung Kings in the northern province of Phu Tho has been sent to UNESCO to seek recognition as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Ancestral worshipping is a traditional custom of Vietnam, playing a very special role in Vietnamese people’s spiritual life. Pham Ba Khiem, deputy director of Phu Tho provincial department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "The profile has been assessed by UNESCO Secretariat who requires us to submit more photos of the rituals. Some contents of the worshipping tradition also need to be clarified to affirm that it is a community belief  and how it has been preserved and handed down from generation to generation. Each country is allowed to send 1 profile to UNESCO every year. With its completed profile, I believe this worshipping ritual will be recognized by UNESCO."
