The young participants made some proposals to Party and State leaders including the need for parents to improve their knowledge on children’s rights and understand their children. At schools, the children expressed their hope that they will be helped to exchange, integrate with school environment and be understood by their teachers. Regarding the community, the children want communication campaigns on children’s rights to be renovated in terms of content and form.

Vietnam was the first country in Asia and second in the world to sign the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In order to implement the Convention, Vietnam’s 2013 Constitution provides that children shall be protected, cared for and educated by the State, family and society. Children are allowed to participate in child related issues.
