The 410,000 euro project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, will be implemented between now and 2019. Along with Kigali from Rwanda and Assiut from Egypt, Da Nang has been selected to be involved in the Project. The action-oriented research will focus on basic urban service infrastructure including energy, water, waste water, solid waste, and urban agricultural systems. The Da Nang project will be linked to riverbank stabilization, coastline protection, reservoir management and other sectors such as waste management using compost, urban agriculture, open public spaces, and roof top greening.
