President of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) Nguyen Van Rinh, said the centre will serve as a common shelter for AO victims, providing them with more energy to integrate into the community.  He asked the staff to serve the victims with the highest dedication and work to improve the centre’s operational efficiency.

The construction of the centre commenced in 2014 at a total cost of 1.8 million USD. It now has a 70-room recovery house for victims, a detoxification and rehabilitation house, and a dining room for about 150 people.  The project is still underway with the building of a nursery house for AO victims’ families, an exhibition hall, an amusement park, and commemorative house for people who died from the toxin.
