Results of second round of UNESCO chief balloting

Qatari diplomat Hamad bin Al-Kawari, the leading contender, garnered 20 votes, followed by French candidate Audrey Azoulay with 13 votes and Egyptian candidate Moushira Khattab with 12 votes. As in the first round, no candidates received more than half of the votes. The third round of voting began on Wednesday.
