RoK ambassador awarded Vietnam’s friendship medal
(VOVWORLD) - Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Don Tuan Phong presented the Medal for Peace and Friendship among Nations to outgoing South Korean Ambassador Lee Hyuk in recognition of his remarkable contribution to promoting the two countries’ cooperation.

Phong recognized the diplomat’s active efforts to deepen the Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership. Phong expressed hopes that the ambassador, in any future position, will make further contributions to reinforcing and developing the friendly cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the RoK. Lee Hyuk said that he will take up a new position as Secretary General of the RoK-ASEAN Centre from April 15, and pledged to do his utmost to step up relations between the RoK and ASEAN, and particularly between the RoK and Vietnam.
