During a piloted period last year with free admission, the program attracted a lot of visitors. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Hue Monument Conservation Center, said: “Visiting the former ancient citadel at night gives tourists a different feeling from a day tour. In a glistening atmosphere, tourists will watch art performances and play courts games. We have provided new services and music performances to keep tourists to stay in Hue for more days.”

In the first half of the year, Hue Imperial City received 1.7 million tourists, up 37% against last year.
