Lukashevich said Russia hopes Kiev will abandon the idea of unilateral border demarcation, because demarcation of borders should be a reciprocal process between neighboring countries according to common international practice, and unilateral demarcation cannot be legally binding for the other side.

Russia earlier this week submitted a draft resolution to the UN Security Council that focuses on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine’s southeastern region.

In another development, the Ukrainian Parliament on Thursday voted to give the army more than 50 million USD to buy more weapons and armor for soldiers involved in operations against the pro-federalization rebels in eastern Ukraine.
