Russia calls on protecting Afghanistan’s territory
(VOVWORLD) - Russia is calling on countries not to take advantage of Afghanistan for political purposes and stresses the importance of protecting Afghanistan’s territory.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made the remark Friday at the opening of the second peace talk on Afghanistan in Moscow. He said Russia supports a united and inseparable Afghanistan, where all races can live in peace and prosperity. Representatives from the US, India, Iran, China, Pakistan, etc. attended the talk.
Russia’s hosting the peace talk is aimed at kick-starting direct dialogues between the Kabul government and the Taliban. It is the first time Taliban militants have attended such an event.
