Russia holds national day of mourning for plane crash victims

(VOVworld) – Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on Monday declared a national day of mourning after a Tu-154 military plane crashed into the Black Sea on Sunday, killing all 92 people on board.

Putin told the press that the cause of accident is being investigated and families of the victims will be supported.
Foreign leaders have sent condolences to Russia including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, Armenia’s President, and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang also sent a message of condolences to the Russian President.
