Russia launches ‘massive strike’ on IS hideouts in Syria
(VOVWORLD) -A Russian submarine and six long-range Tu-22M3 strategic bombers performed a “massive” missile and bomb strike in eastern Syria, destroying ISIS hideouts.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov revealed the information at a press briefing on Friday.
The attacks were carried out earlier the same day, targeting positions of Islamic State terrorists near the Syrian city of Abu Kemal.
