Russia not to intervene in Ukraine’s domestic affairs

(VOVworld) – Russia will not intervene in Ukraine’s internal issues, said Russian President’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Thursday. Peskov said that Russia had no right to intervene in any way in Ukraine’s domestic affairs.

However, he added that the Kremlin will closely follow any developments in Russia’s neighboring country with great concern. He also expressed his belief that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich can handle the crisis and stabilize the country.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has not made any personal comments regarding the latest violent clashes in Kiev that killed 5 people. Russia mainly criticized the opposition and the west for igniting violence in Ukraine.
