(VOVworld) – The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday urged the Kiev administration to halt its punitive operations and start a dialogue with regional representatives to seek a solution to the current crisis. The Ministry urged implementation of the Joint Geneva Statement on Ukraine reached on April 17. It said the international community expects Kiev to immediately stop combat operations in eastern Ukraine east and withdraw troops because it is impossible to achieve peace in Ukraine without that. Russia once again called on western powers to use all their influence on Kiev in order to stop Ukraine’s descent into a national disaster.
