(VOVworld) -The Russian embassy in Damascus, Syria was attacked with two mortars by terrorists on Friday. The shelling was conducted from the Jobar area controlled by anti-government forces. There are no casualties and the embassy sustained only material damage.

This has been the third attack on Russian embassy during this month. The two previous took place on the 4^th and the 13^th of this month. By a lucky chance, no one was killed. On the same day, the UN Security Council strongly condemned the attack.
