Russian President: Russia-US relation changes due to one-sided subjective opinion

(VOVworld) - During a press conference on the outcome of the eighth summit of the newly emerging economies (BRICS) in India on Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that the Russia-US relation has changed due to the subjective opinion that US desires to impose on the world.

He denied that Syria was the main reason to alter the relationship between Russia and the US, but it was the US’s subjective opinion instead. Putin said, the Russia-US relation started deteriorating as the US and NATO began the Yugoslavia airstrike campaign in March, 1999.
This was NATO’s first airstrike into a European sovereign country. However, President Putin hopes that Russia’s ties with the U.S. can go back to normal after the American presidential election on November 8th.
