(VOVworld) - US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to cooperate in implementing the Syria agreement reached during talks in Munich, Germany. According to a statement released by the Kremlin on Sunday, the two presidents talked over the phone about ways to make the agreement work. The statement said both leaders gave a "positive evaluation" of the meeting held late last week. Putin stressed the importance of creating a united anti-terrorism front and said Russia is opposed to any ground operations in Syria. Ankara has said Turkey and Saudi Arabia may launch ground operations against the IS while continuing to strike Kurds and Syrian troops.
