Russia’s October Revolution marked in Vietnam and worldwide

(VOVworld) – A delegation of Hanoi authorities led by Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung on Monday laid floral wreaths at Vladimir Ilych Lenin’s Statue in Chi Lang Garden in Hanoi to mark the 99th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution on November 7, 1917.

It is an annual activity of Hanoi to express gratitude to Lenin, who was a prominent political figure and a great leader of the working class and the Russian October Revolution.

The same day, other institutes and agencies in Hanoi also commemorated the event.

Major newspapers in Vietnam ran articles on the historic event. The People’s Newspaper said that by following Lenin’s path, Vietnam achieved great success.

The People’s Army Newspaper ran a report on the significance of the Russian October Revolution which opened an era in which oppression countries rose up for self liberation.

Although the revolution occurred nearly a century ago, its great ideas continue to inspire the Vietnamese people.

The Liberated Sai Gon Newspaper said that after a century, the revolution’s values remained unchanged for the working class and laborers around the world.

Over the weekend, the Russian Communist Party in Riazan, Tomxk, Amua, Kaliningrad, Penza, Nenetsky, and Krasnodar staged meetings and demonstrations. In Moscow, thousands of Communist Party members participated in a mass demonstration, meetings, and concerts.
