Reunion Island’s top state official, Prefect Dominique Sorain, said on Monday that despite 10 days of searching ten thousand of square kilometres of ocean in the eastern and north-eastern areas of the island, no more debris from the flight had been found. He said that the island’s police and military soldiers will enter a phase of heightened surveillance, following the end of search operations.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Malaysia examiners believe that the debris found on Reunion Island in July belonged to the missing flight MH370, although Paris Prosecutors’ Office hasn’t confirmed any final conclusion.
