(VOVworld) – Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang has reiterated that Vietnam and France have seen positive developments in bilateral relations, including defense cooperation.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday with Chairman Nicolas Dmitrieff of France’s CNIM Group, Lieutenant General Giang said he hoped for intensified cooperation with France in the defence industry.

He suggested both sides actively learn about each other’s defense needs, focusing on products that serve both defense purposes and socio-economic development.
