South Korea flexible on timing, format of ending Korean War
(VOVWORLD) - South Korea's Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said Monday her government aims to formally end the Korean War by the end of this year and that the leaders of North Korea and the United States have discussed the issue.

Ms. Kang stressed, however, South Korea is flexible on the specific timing and format of the envisioned, largely symbolic declaration.
Speaking to the press following her telephone talk with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Minister Kang said US President Donald Trump’s administration is ready to announce the end of the Korean War as agreed by leaders of the two Koreas at the Inter-Korean Summit in April.
