Spain’s constitutional court rejects Catalan referendum law

(VOVWORLD) - The Catalan independence referendum last month was illegal, Spain’s constitutional court said on Tuesday.

Catalan government spokesperson Jordi Turull said Catalonia will not give up its independence. Catalonia’s President Carles Puigdemont on Thursday said Catalonia will have to clarify its independence from Spain. The Spanish government said a vague answer from President Puigdemont will promote the central government to dissolve the Catalan administration.
