(VOVworld) – A workshop on building inter-region mechanisms and policies to cope with natural disasters and climate change in the Red River delta opened in Ninh Binh province on Monday.

Experts and managers introduced a number of recommendations for mechanisms and policies to deal with the situation, including building a comprehensive and sustainable plan to respond to climate change. Apart from establishing a steering agency on natural disaster and climate change response, the participants agreed that it was necessary to develop a compulsory mechanism and increase monitoring and evaluation on projects on climate change response.
