Summer youth volunteer campaign launched nationwide and in Laos
(VOVWORLD) - 60,000 young people are participated in a summer youth volunteer campaign in Ho Chi Minh city and 15 provinces in the central and southern region, the Central Highlands, Tho Chu island in Kien Giang province, and Laos.
The campaign aims to build 50 charity houses, improve electricity supply for 500 poor households, and provide thousands of children and young people with IT and English classes and training courses on soft skills. Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie is the campaign’s ambassador: "Young people, with the ardent youth spirit, should always inspire other people to do good deeds. Feel free to do anything you believe is amazing."
Other activities include raising people’s awareness about healthy lifestyle and environmental protection. The campaign will continue until August 4.
