Syrian army liberates southeast Raqqa from IS
(VOVWORLD) - Syrian government forces and their allies have recaptured territory from the Islamic State in the southeastern area of its stronghold Raqqa after air strikes in the area.

During an advance toward the provincial boundary between Raqqa and Deir al-Zor on Saturday the army seized an oil field in the Sabkha area.
