(VOVWORLD) - The Consulate General of Australia in Ho Chi Minh City hosted a program called “Taste of Australia” on Thursday as part of activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The event promoted Australian food, beverages, culture, and Vietnam’s world-class chef training.
Mark Coulton, Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment said the two nations have elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership, opening up great opportunities for better trade ties.
Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem said diplomatic ties have developed steadily and led to achievements in politics, trade, investment, education, defense, and development cooperation. He called “Taste of Australia” a good opportunity for Vietnamese people to sample Australian culture.
