(VOVworld) - The current situation in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk has become more intense due to continuous clashes between local militia and interim government forces. According to Russia’s ITAR-TASS news agency, Ukrainian National Guard units on Tuesday blocked Donesk city and surrounding areas. Shootings still continued at railway stations and airports. Donesk airport and train stations stopped operating, preventing people from moving out of the city. Recent clashes have killed at least 24 people. Russian Foreign Ministry asked the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe to submit a report on the ongoing situation in Donesk and propose measures to resolve the escalating tension.
