Gifts were sent to disadvantaged people living in the northern province of Thai Nguyen. Local health workers provided free medical checkups, treatment, and medicine to more than 400 residents of Phu Dinh commune.

In the Mekong Delta province of An Giang, 130,000 revolutionary contributors, heroic Vietnamese mothers, lonely elders, disabled people, and orphans have received Tet gifts and money, worth a total of 3 million USD.

On Wednesday, the Binh Duong provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs gave local poor children presents, paid heart surgery costs, and pledged long-term patronization.

The same day in Danang City, the municipal Confederation of Labor held an art program and delivered 200 gifts to poor workers. Local enterprises and Trade Union agencies will offer free buses to take Danang workers back to their home provinces for Tet celebration.
