The 32nd ASEAN Japan forum opens in Brunei  - ảnh 1
(VOVworld)- Chief delegates of the ASEAN member countries’ Seniors Official Meetings and their Japanese counterparts have met in Brunei to review cooperation and consolidate ties in all fields. Delegates agreed on the central role played by Japan in line with the declaration on vision of friendship and cooperative relations between the ASEAN and Japan, especially in economic, life quality improvement, people to people exchanges, peace and security. Speaking in the event, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung, shared Vietnam’s view and the ASEAN recent statements regarding the East Sea issues. He reiterated Vietnam’s stance to settle disputes through peaceful means in compliance with international law, especially the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Declaration on Conducts of Parties in the East Sea, and early finalization of a Code of Conducts of Parties in the East Sea.
