(VOVworld) – The third Red Flamboyant Festival 2014 opened in Hai Phong city on Saturday.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh stressed the festival was a premise for Hai Phong to develop its culture-based tourism. At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu granted a certificate to recognize Cat Ba as a special national relic.

The program included a number of activities such as festive drums, water puppetry and Cheo or “traditional opera” performances.
