(VOVworld) – Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and US Secretary of State John Kerry began talks on Monday with the intention of reaffirming their countries' agreement on relocation of a base of the US Marine Corps’ Air Futenma base in Okinawa.

The talks took place on the sidelines of the ongoing G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in Hiroshima. Futenma base will be moved from the crowded residential area in Ginowan to less populated Henoko area in Nago in Okinawa prefecture.
