Top legislator busy in France

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan laid flowers at the Ho Chi Minh monument, planted a tree, and visited the Ho Chi Minh Space in Montreau Park of Montreuil city on Sunday, during an official visit to France.

The Ho Chi Minh Space was inaugurated on May 19, 2000, to mark the President’s 110th birth anniversary.

Meeting with the executive committee of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, Chairwoman Ngan praised the Vietnamese community’s solidarity and mutual support.  She said her visit to France aims to boost the two countries’ Strategic Partnership, which was established in 2013.

Addressing a ceremony to mark the 100th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese Association in France, Madam Ngan reiterated that overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation and the Vietnamese State creates favorable conditions to help them integrate into their host country while promoting the Vietnamese identity.

The same day, Ms. Ngan attended an exhibit of President Ho Chi Minh’s archives at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris.
