This was high on the agenda of a workshop in Hanoi on Wednesday, jointly organized by the Institute for Tourism Development Research of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network. It was attended by foreign and domestic tourism experts and business representatives. The workshop encouraged tourism firms and hotels to join the fight against the illegal trading of wildlife, including rhino horns; and outlined an action plan to protect wildlife and include wildlife protection in the codes of conduct of tourism organizations.

Participants heard reports on biodiversity and habitats, wildlife trading, and related laws.
