(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump on Thursday vowed to protect the US from North Korea should China’s attempts to restrain North Korea fail, according to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders at a press conference.

Sanders explained Trump’s tweet on Wednesday that the US is willing to cooperate and is working with China to contain the North Korean threat, but Trump will do anything in his power to protect the US if China’s methods don’t succeed.
