(VOVworld) – The UNESCO Center for Research and Conservation of the Cham culture made its debut in Ho Chi Minh city on Saturday.

A symposium on the preservation and development of Cham music in the current integration process was held by the center on this occasion. Truong Van Mon is Director of the UNESCO Center for Research and Conservation of the Cham culture: "Cham culture is preserved and developed in line with the Party Central Committee’s resolution on the preservation and development of Vietnamese culture. The seminar helps to identify the functions of relevant sectors, the role of artists and singers in preserving and developing Cham dance and music".
