US pledges support for Vietnam’s education

(VOVworld) – US Under Secretary of State Antony Blinken delivered a speech on Vietnamese-US relations to students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi.

Blinken said bilateral ties were developing better than ever with commitments of cooperation in various fields.

He said that more than 19,000 Vietnamese students were studying in the US and expressed his hope they will help contribute to the current good relations.

Blinken said that in the future the US will continue to support Vietnam’s education at pre-school level and in ethnic minority areas.

By the end of the year, Vietnam will benefit from a new opportunity when Fulbright University opens its first branch in Ho Chi Minh City.
