(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama praised Vietnam’s entrepreneurial spirit, saying that entrepreneurship was the fuel for “prosperity that puts rising economies on the path to success”.

At a meeting with young entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, President Obama said Vietnam should move forward with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement because the TPP will bring together economies, increase Vietnam’s growth rate, and competitiveness and open new markets. Mr. Obama expressed his confidence in Vietnam’s young entrepreneurs and said he wants US businesses to learn more about start-ups by young Vietnamese, problems and differences between Vietnam and the US, and ways to support start-up businesses. Obama said investors and infrastructure are important, but the most important thing is people, so it is essential to enhance education’s role.
