(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama began a European tour to help strengthen a divided EU in the wake of Britain’s vote to leave and to minimize Russia’s influence. During his 5-day tour, Obama will attend the NATO summit in Warsaw, Poland, before traveling to Seville and Madrid in Spain.

 
Obama intends to assure the US’s allies that the end of his presidency will not interrupt the trans-Atlantic relationship. The UK’s departure from the EU will not affect its status in NATO and military cooperation between NATO and the EU will be further strengthened.
