(VOVworld)- A workshop on decontaminating in Da Nang international airport from AO/dioxin opened in Da Nang on Wednesday. The event was part of a project to deal with the dioxin-contaminated environment at the airport. It was sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense. It has received 41 million USD in funding from the US while Vietnam has contributed 1.7 million USD. The project will help to clear unexploded ordnance from the area and treat around 73,000 cubic meters of contaminated land in Da Nang airport.
