(VOVworld) – The US Department of State announced on Monday that its Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Moscow on July 14-15 to hold talks on Syria, the Ukrainian crisis and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Russian officials. In his previous visits, Kerry often met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov before meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In an announcement released on Monday, Moscow said Kerry’s fourth official visit to Russia since May 2015 will be a fence-mending trip to foster global stability and resolve a wide range of global issues. Kerry’s visit to Moscow is part of his 6-day-trip to 5 countries including Russia, Luxembourg, Brussels, Yemen, and the UK.
