The State Department's acting spokesperson Mark Toner said in a statement on Monday that the missile launches violate UN Security Council Resolutions. The US called on all states to use every available channel and means of influence to make clear to North Korea that further provocations are unacceptable, and take steps to show there are consequences to North Korea’s unlawful conduct, Toner added.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe strongly denounced North Korea’s missile launches, saying Japan will call on the international community to increase pressure to stop North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.

South Korea's Acting President and Prime Minister Hwang Kyo Ahn criticized North Korea's missile launches and called for an early deployment of the US Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) system in South Korea.
