US supports Kuwait's role as Gulf mediator
(VOVWORLD) - Former US Marine General Anthony Zinni and Vice Assistant to US Secretary of State on the Gulf Affairs Timothy Lenderking were in Kuwait on Monday to try to resolve the diplomatic crisis between Qatar and 4 Arab countries.
Kuwaiti Vice Foreign Minister Khaled al-Jarallah thanked the 2 US envoys for supporting Kuwait’s efforts to mediate the Gulf conflict.

The two US officials said the US is committed to resolving Gulf tensions. They said the meetings have been scheduled with 5 other Gulf leaders.
