(VOVWORLD) - Kremlin spokesman Dimitry Peskov said Thursday that the US can and should influence Ukraine to abide by the Minsk agreement even though the US is not a member of the Normandy Four.
The Normandy Four is a group of representatives from Germany, Russia, Ukraine, and France tasked with resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Peskov said the previous US administration and all parties involved have agreed to establish a direct channel to exchange information about the Ukraine situation.

He stressed that Moscow will not withdraw from the Intermediate-range Nuclear Force Treaty even though the US has imposed fresh sanctions on Russia.
