The statement was made after a high-level meeting between foreign ministers of 60 coalition members in Brussels, Belgium on Wednesday. According to the coalition, the global campaign against the IS have made progress. Air strikes have helped the Iraqi army and Kurdish forces recover some ground from the IS. Coalition members agreed to implement a multimedia campaign to defeat the IS, including preventing foreign gunmen from joining the group and cutting off funding for the IS. However, they predict that the fight against the IS will take years.
