(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam continues to value its comprehensive partnership with the US, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien at a celebration of the US’s 242nd Independence Day.
This works for the benefits of the two countries’ people, as well as peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the Asia-Pacific region, she noted. Minister Tien attended the Thursday event in Hanoi hosted by US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink on behalf of the Vietnamese Government.
Ms. Tien expressed her delight that the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the US is developing steadily, especially after the visit to the US by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in May 2017 and the State visit to Vietnam by President Donald Trump last November.
