Van Don International Airport to open on December 30
(VOVWORLD) - Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh province will see its first commercial flight on Sunday. Vietnam Airlines and budget carrier Vietjet Air have registered to open flight routes linking Van Don and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the first phase, the national flag carrier will have flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don with a frequency of a flight per day. The flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 2pm and from Van Don at 4:45 pm.
Vietjet Air announced return flights on the route every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from January 20. The flights will depart from HCM City at 7 a.m. and from Van Don at 9.50 a.m.
From the onset of 2019 until the end of 2021, Quang Ninh will offer much in the way of special treatment for passengers, including free tickets to visit Ha Long Bay, the Yen Tu Relic and Landscape Complex, and Sun Group’s Resort-Entertainment Complex.
