Various activities held to assist AO victims

(VOVworld) – Various activities have been held across Vietnam to ease the pain of victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (AO) to mark the 55th anniversary of the AO/dioxin disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961-2016).

The Long An provincial Association of AO Victims donated 5 charity houses worth 1,800 USD each. The Association helped three homeless families of AO victims to build houses and presented 150 gifts to other AO victims across the province. Local businesses donated 450 USD to help AO victims repair their houses.

Dong Nai province held a ceremony on Tuesday to honor 11 outstanding AO victims who have struggled against their difficulties to earn an income and help their families.
